Design Republic
About

Brand agency for mid-sized companies.

We build brands for a fixed price — in a brand sprint of four to six weeks. Afterwards, we stay on it and keep them coherent, rather than letting them gather dust as a PDF. Based in Cologne and Luxembourg, for companies that take their brand seriously.

Why we sell branding as a product.

Most agencies sell projects. A proposal, a kickoff, a final result—and then the brand falls apart because no one is responsible for it anymore. We did it that way ourselves for years.

Today, we do things differently: the brand is created in a Brand Sprint for a price that is fixed upfront. No timesheets, no renegotiations, no pitch theater. And afterwards, someone stays in charge—us. We stay on it: maintaining, expanding, and defending what we have built.

This isn't just a new wrapper for the same old service. It changes how we work: smaller scopes, faster decisions, and a system instead of a collection of files.

Our approach

How we build a brand.

01

Brand Sprint

Four to six weeks, one team, one fixed price. Positioning, naming if necessary, identity, and application. The result is a brand you can actually use—not just a concept that still needs to be implemented.

02

Handover to Brand OS

Everything goes into one system: rules, templates, assets, and website. Your team can work with it without having to ask about every little detail—and without diluting the brand.

03

Staying On It

From that point on, we act as the authority that keeps the brand coherent: new applications, ongoing adjustments, and quality control. Cancelable on a monthly basis, but built to stay for the long haul.

The team behind it

The founders of Design Republic

Zwei lächelnde Männer stehen vor einer grauen Wand, einer in blauem Pullover, der andere in schwarzem T-Shirt mit verschränkten Armen.

Design Republic was founded in 2023 by Simon Broich and Guy Reiffers, operating out of Cologne and Luxembourg. You deal directly with the founders—who are also the ones making the decisions: Simon is responsible for positioning and brand management, while Guy oversees design quality and implementation.

Do I have to book Brand Guardianship after the sprint?

No After the sprint, everything is yours and you can continue working completely independently with the design system and templates from the sprint. Brand Guardianship is an optional connection offer for customers who know that a brand needs ongoing maintenance. But we're not forcing anyone to subscribe.

What is the difference between corporate identity and corporate design?

Corporate identity is the bigger concept: Who is the brand? What does it (a) stand for? How does she behave? Corporate design is the visual part of it, i.e. what you can see: logo, colors, fonts, imagery. During a brand sprint, we think of both things together: First the identity (strategy, values, story), then the design (visual implementation).

How long does a brand sprint take?

For us, a classic brand sprint takes 4 to 6 weeks. Divided into four phases: Discovery (Week 1), Strategy (Week 2), Identity (Week 3-5), and Handover (Week 6). For larger projects — such as multiple sub-brands or extensive rollouts — it can take longer. We will clarify the exact time frame during the kickoff.

What does brand development cost?

A brand sprint starts at 5,000 EUR and, depending on the scope, can go up to around 15,000 EUR. What is included in the price: brand strategy, logo development, complete color and typography system, image language, brand guidelines as PDF and all file formats. We work for a fixed price — from day one, you know what you're getting and what it costs.

Do the rights to use the logo belong to me?

Yes After payment and handover, you can use the final logo without restrictions. We clarify open issues — such as licenses for fonts used — transparently before we finalize.

Do you also do naming or brand strategy?

We can provide strategic support — for example with brand values, tonality or visual direction. Naming is possible, but depending on the depth, it is planned as a separate set of tasks so that it remains clean and comprehensible.

What do you need from me so that the result is really right?

Best: Target group, positioning, locations, 3-5 references (what you like/don't like) and, if applicable, existing brand components (colors/typography). The clearer the briefing, the faster we can achieve a strong result.

How many feedback rounds are included?

You'll receive 2-3 extensive rounds of feedback, each with complete revisions. This is the standard for professional design projects and ensures that your design is precisely tailored to your requirements — without unnecessary delays. Additional rounds are possible and will be arranged individually.

How long do the projects take?

Typically 2-6 weeks, depending on project type. Branding usually takes 4-8 weeks, web design 3-5 weeks. The exact time frame is set in the kick-off meeting and is then binding.

Who is DR On-Demand for?

Ideal for medium-sized companies with extensive design projects (branding, website redesign, campaign design, packaging). Perfect if you need top quality with cost clarity but don't want to work with a traditional agency.
